Nursery Admissions

Heath Nursery provides quality education and care for children aged 2-4 years. For many of you this will be your first contact with the school and our aim is to work in partnership with you to provide the best start and nursery education for your child.

Admissions

The nursery provides 10 morning places for 2 year olds, 39 morning, and 39 afternoon spaces for 3 & 4 year olds.

The 2-year-old provision offers both funded and paid morning places, (15 hours).

Children are eligible to begin their free nursery entitlement (15 hours) the term after their third birthday. We also offer 30 hours provision, depending on eligibility, this offers children 4 and ½ funded full days with an option to pay for another ½ day session.

Parents are able to put their children’s name on the waiting list by contacting the school office.

Places are allocated dependent on the age of the child.

Our Vision

At Heath Primary School Nursery, our vision is to create a happy and friendly environment where all children feel safe, secure and valued. We work to developing self-esteem, positive attitudes towards learning and social skills. We provide a broad balanced curriculum using structured play activities and adult guided learning opportunities. The children are encouraged to follow their own interests, develop their thinking and independence in an environment, which supports creativity, curiosity and imagination.

Our Aims

  • To have fun playing and learning together.
  • To offer children an exciting and carefully structured curriculum, following the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • To develop positive and supportive relationships with parents and families, ensuring every opportunity for all children to develop to their full potential.
  • To value and celebrate the richness of diversity through an understanding that all children and families are unique.
  • To nurture and develop children’s creativity and curiosity, giving them time to develop their own ideas.
