Heath Primary Friends of School

The Friends of School consists of parents, grandparents and members of the school staff who work tirelessly to raise funds towards extra curricula activities and equipment, i.e. School Captains Badges, Football Kits, Ambassador Bibs, Materials for Playground Activity Boards, Easels for the Art Club, Donations to School Trips and Activity Days and other classroom requisites.

The funds have been raised through various successful social events including School Discos, Coffee Mornings, Bingo Nights, Racing Reindeer Night, Magic night and by having stalls at local Galas/Fetes etc.

We have also organised crafts sessions in school for the children when they have made Easter Pompom Chicks, Pompom Snowmen, Christmas Tree Decorations which were used for the School’s Christmas Tree in ‘The Spire Christmas Tree Festival’, Christmas Cards to name but a few.

A new venture this year was to organise lunchtime craft sessions when the children were able to make and buy gifts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Fundraising at the end of the year has been very sucessful.  The Hardwick Arts Evening, Freezer Fridays and Sports Day raised a total of £440.35.

We are always looking for new ideas and welcome new members to join the group.  If anyone is interested in attending the meetings, has any ideas they would like to put forward,  or is able to help at any of the events please speak to any member of the group (see list below).
