It’s been a very busy week at Heath!
During Monday’s assembly Friends of Heath presented the school with a Defibrillator. Also in the assembly The School Parliament presented a cheque for the Air Ambulance for £462.60.
On Tuesday evening the Friends of Heath held a Bingo Evening and Raised £185.
The Nursery children had pancakes on Tuesday choosing from a variety of toppings. Then on Wednesday they led the whole school assembly telling the other children about a pancake story they know including a Pancake Day rhyme:
Mix a pancake
Stir a pancake
Pop it in the pan.
Fry a pancake
Toss a pancake
Catch it if you can!
On Wednesday Reception made a list of ingredients to make pancakes then visited the local shops to buy them. After all that work the children made and tasted pancakes.
Children from Key Stage 2 went to Tibshelf on Wednesday and competed in a cross country run!
Thursday was especially busy! 1G went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. They had an amazing time and saw lots of different animals.
The whole school dressed up as a variety of book characters for World Book Day on Thursday. They looked absolutely amazing.
The Football Team played Ashover Thursday after school and won 3-1. Well done.
Friday morning 5H's French lesson had a food theme. The children tasted a variety of food and learnt the French words so that they could hold a conversation about food.
Mrs Hill took her KS1 dance group to the Infants Dance Festival on Friday. The children performed to ‘Toy Story’s You’ve Got A Friend In Me.’
