27th February - 3rd March

It’s been a very busy week at Heath!

During Monday’s assembly Friends of Heath presented the school with a Defibrillator. Also in the assembly The School Parliament presented a cheque for the Air Ambulance for £462.60.

On Tuesday evening the Friends of Heath held a Bingo Evening and Raised £185.

The Nursery children had pancakes on Tuesday choosing from a variety of toppings.  Then on Wednesday they led the whole school assembly telling the other children about a pancake story they know including a Pancake Day rhyme:

Mix a pancake

Stir a pancake

Pop it in the pan.

Fry a pancake

Toss a pancake

Catch it if you can!

On Wednesday Reception made a list of ingredients to make pancakes then visited the local shops to buy them.  After all that work the children made and tasted pancakes.

Children from Key Stage 2 went to Tibshelf on Wednesday and competed in a cross country run!

Thursday was especially busy! 1G went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.  They had an amazing time and saw lots of different animals.

The whole school dressed up as a variety of book characters for World Book Day on Thursday.  They looked absolutely amazing.

The Football Team played Ashover Thursday after school and won 3-1.  Well done.

Friday morning 5H's French lesson had a food theme.  The children tasted a variety of food and learnt the French words so that they could hold a conversation about food.

Mrs Hill took her KS1 dance group to the Infants Dance Festival on Friday.  The children performed to ‘Toy Story’s You’ve Got A Friend In Me.’
