16th – 20th May

This week The School Parliament launched the 2p Challenge for the Air Ambulance.  Each class has a 4l milk carton in their classroom which is to be filled with 2p coins.  The collection will last until the last day of the school year when there will be a mass laying of 2p coins on the playground.

Nursery had some new prams delivered this week for their imaginative play and really took advantage of the wonderful weather on Monday to play with them.

Miss Garbutt’s Year 1 class led Wednesday’s assembly.  Year 1 told the story of The Enormous Turnip.

Years 2 and 3 visited Hardwick Hall on Wednesday and had a fantastic time despite the weather!

On Thursday and Friday Year 6 visited West Notts College for Futures Week.

On Friday the school said goodbye to Mr Ward.  Mr Ward has been with the school since June as a temporary caretaker.  He will be missed by the children and staff who would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his hard work and wish him all the best for the future.
