Friendship week at Heath was very busy!
Mr Lynch started the week introducing nominate a friend in assembly.
The NSPCC led assemblies for KS1 and KS2. Their message was ‘Stay Safe and Speak Out’.
Miss Garbutt took some Year 3 and Year 4 children to Pilsley Primary School on Tuesday to take part in a gymnastic workshop.
Year 1 visited Nottingham Castle on Wednesday linked to their topic. They had a wonderful time exploring the castle and grounds. Fortunately, Miss Garbutt and Miss Seymore didn’t leave anyone in the dungeons!
Mrs Robert’s class led Thursday’s assembly. They told the school all about Remembrance Day and the service they attended last week.
On Friday children wore bright clothes to celebrate Friendship Week. The week was drawn to a conclussion with a celebration assembly on Friday where each class shared some of the work they have undertaken. Mr Lynch revealed who won the KS1 & KS2 friend nomination. The assembly was followed by a balloon release. The eco-friendly, biodegradable purple balloons were released by every child in the school.
