Reports were sent out to all parents on Monday.  Thank you to all parents who returned slips.  The staff are very eager to build upon your responses to continue to improve on the standard of education the children at HPS receive.

Years 2 and 3 visited Markeaton Park on Tuesday.  Everyone had a great time and effectively managed their budgets.

It was picnic on the field Tuesday dinner.  The children really appreciated all the effort the cooks put into organising their special lunch.

On Tuesday evening Hardwick Hall hosted our annual art exhibition.  Photographs of the event can be found in the Gallery section of the website.

Year 1 visited Chatsworth’s kitchen garden on Thursday.  After all the work the Year 1’s have done this term on food they are going to be nutritional experts.

A selection of children from the Pupils Voice fed back to Governors on Thursday evening about their numerous success this year and the projects that are planned for the next academic year.

Year 5 & 6 held their final brass concert for the year on Friday.  As always the school appreciates the parent’s support of the event as an audience really did make our children shine.

It was off to the cinema for the children who had excellent attendance this year on Friday.  As ever the school is developing the rewards for children who have good attendance, work hard and have outstanding behaviour.  Last year was gift cards, this year was the cinema, the staff can’t wait to see what the Pupils Voice suggest for next year!

During Friday’s assembly our new Super Stars were announced.  Well done all children who received their bands. Again this rewards system is going to be streamlined for September after discussions with the children.  More information on these changes will be sent out to parents and put on the website in September.
