It's been a very busy week at Heath!
The school has been awarded the Silver Sports Award. More information can be found in the PE section of the website.
All KS2 classes have watched a performance and taken part in a Healthy Eating/ Fitness workshop. The children really enjoyed their sessions and helped consolidate the work taking part in school.
The school has new Ambassadors. Well done to all children who applied and to those who were chosen. Remember Ambassadors are the playground every day and are there to help children find friends.
Year 5/6 had a very interesting Tuesday! The top corridor became a crime scene, a bear had escaped. All 3 classes had an amazing literacy session and wrote some wonderful newspaper articles.
Mrs Roberts and Miss Seymores class visited Warwick Castle on Tuesday. The staff at Warwick Castle were exceptionally pleased with our school group and made sure Mr Lynch was aware of how well behaved the children from Heath were.
Miss Garbutt took her class to Hardwick Hall on Thursday and had a great time. Once again the staff complimented the children on their behaviour and subject knowledge.
The football on Thursday was in the district finals. It included 5 teams that had won their mini cluster event earlier in the year. Heath played extremely well against some excellent teams (and a constant downpour). Despite not managing to win a game, the team drew two of their matches; one of which was against the team that won the whole competition!
Well done to all of the children involved.
On the 18th October the school will be having the Harvest Festival. All food that the children bring in will be on sale from 3.00pm outside the KS1 building. The proceeds will be going to the Children's Ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
