30th January - 3rd February

Everyone wanted to be in Nursery this week as they tasted some Chinese food: noodles, prawn crackers and spring rolls.  They were celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Rooster.

This week the children in reception received a letter from Jack, asking them to go out onto the school field as he had left them a special gift. Everyone was very excited! When the children went out, they found giant footprints that led them to a very special pot of magic beans. Everyone has taken a magic bean home...

On Monday Year 6 held a clarinet concert for parents and everyone was impressed by how much the children had learnt since September.

Miss Ward’s Reception class led the assembly on Wednesday.  Their class literacy topic has been Fairy Tales and they shared some of the activities they have done with the rest of the school.

Also on Wednesday Miss Seymore took 10 children from KS1 to an Infant Agility Festival. They took part in lots of different activities including running, throwing, catching, jumping and stepping. The children really enjoyed this event and were a credit to the school.

Four KS2 children joined Miss Garbutt to attend Playmaker Training on Friday.  We know have 4 children who can help lead activities on the playground at lunch time.
